Risen Solar

Risen Solar Technology established an Australian presence in 2008, and has supplied photovoltaic panels to the local market since then. Its long-term goals include funding, constructing and operating commercial and utility-scale solar projects. Its major roles in Australia currently include:

• Supplying quality solar panels to the domestic market
• Supplying and constructing commercial solar projects
• Finance partners for large solar developments

It says it now ranks third in the Australian rooftop photovoltaic distribution segment, capturing 10% of the total local market. It also has plans to acquire 2 GW of solar projects in stages. The two front runners in this regard are:

• The fully functional 121 MW Yarranlea Solar Farm in Queensland, now trading on the open market
• The 32 MW Merredin Solar Farm under construction. This will also trade on the open market
